From a young age, Dr. Villalta has been driven by a deep-seated passion for helping others. Raised on Long Island, New York, his journey to becoming a chiropractor was profoundly shaped by a pivotal moment during his senior year at Hicksville High School.
As a dedicated football player, Dr. Villalta suffered multiple concussions during his final game in 2003. Despite experiencing dizziness and headaches at halftime, he continued to play, only realizing the severity of his condition a week later when he faced the worst headache of his life. A visit to the hospital and a negative CT scan marked the beginning of a challenging healing process, involving constant severe headaches, anxiety, and a decline in academic performance.
Prescribed medications by his neurologist left him feeling numb and disconnected. It was during this difficult time that Dr. Villalta's brother introduced him to chiropractic care through Dr. Ray. Trusting his brother's recommendation, Dr. Villalta committed to chiropractic treatment, taking 14 months to fully recover.
This healing journey taught Dr. Villalta invaluable lessons in empathy, patience, and resilience. Little did he know that this experience, along with the loss of his mother to breast cancer during his first semester of college, would guide him toward a greater purpose.
Before embarking on his chiropractic path, Dr. Villalta worked as a computer technician, providing IT services to schools in Nassau County. However, his healing experiences and a desire for a more meaningful connection with people led him to explore chiropractic as a career.
Enrolling in science courses at Nassau Community College, Dr. Villalta grappled with doubts, fears, and the responsibility of leaving his father at home. The turning point came at the Dynamic Essentials seminar where he heard Dr. Sidney E. Williams, who also founded Life University, speak with unmatched energy and passion.
Fully convinced of his calling, Dr. Villalta committed to becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic, graduating from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, in March 2016. Today, he considers himself blessed and believes that true fulfillment comes from serving others. Dr. Villalta values the unique talents and gifts each individual possesses, and that we all play a crucial role in the tapestry of life.
